Other awards she has received during her lustrous career include the TOWNS (The Outstanding Women of the Nation) Award (for Theatre and Culture), the Outstanding Artist of Manila Award (for Theatre and the Arts), Parangal Ng Bayan (Honor of the Country) Award for Theatre, FAMAS Special Award (for Theatre), among many others.

In 2001, she commuted between Manila and London to pursue her MA in Theatre at the Central School of Speech and Drama, graduating with distinctions in 2003. For the past 6 years, she has lived in both London and Manila, where she continues to work as a theatre, film and television actress, theatre director, acting teacher and singer.

In 2005, Monique celebrated her 25 years in theatre.
